Process
The first time someone visits the food pantry, they need to bring a valid ID (such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID) and proof of address (like a utility bill or a signed lease). Due to our new state system, only one person can be designated as the main food recipient, so the name on the ID must match the proof of address. Additionally, recipients must reside in St. Tammany Parish.
Upon registration, visitors will complete an application to determine their eligibility for food assistance. Regardless of the outcome, everyone receives food during their first visit. Eligibility is based on household size and monthly income.
